Direct Mail Advertising – Tips and Tricks to Success

by admin in email marketing tips

You will probably end up using direct mail marketing to advertise your Virtual IT business. This form of marketing can also be expensive especially if you don’t know how to make it work at your advantage. So, it is advised that you know the ins and outs about direct mail marketing before you begin.

Tips On How To Do Direct Mail Advertising

Usually, it takes around three to five pieces of direct mail to be sent before you can get a response from clients. Sometimes it even needs more mailing. To be able to get a higher response rate you should have a good list of clients that have a track record of buying products in your industry or whom you know have and existing interest on your products.

One tip in order to get a highly targeted direct mail advertising lists is to rent from a reputable broker and the list should have common elements like industry, occupation, location, etc..

When you already have a highly targeted list, start making your advertisement. See to it that the headline that you will use will hit the interest of your targeted clients. If you have good copy and a good headline, possibilities of getting 3% to 5% response rate will be achieved from a standard response rate of 1%.

Before you send your mail advertisement, do a poll or research to check on the things that are really appealing to your recipients. When you’re doing this the first time, this will be a trial and error process, but soon you’ll finally find out what your target audience would be most interested in.

In direct mail advertising it is recommended to use postcards rather than letters. With postcards you can send them easier, you will have the pleasure to writing less, you will also save money on printing. Postcards postage charges are also cheaper than letters so you can send them more often.

You should set up a tracking system for you to measure your response rate and to know every single inquiry on the mailer. With this system you will be able to determine whether the inquiries are coming from the first piece of mail advertisement, second piece, so on and so forth.

There should be a two-step sales process involved. This is by getting them first to ask questions by making an inquiry and from there, you should take over and drive them to close the sale.

Make sure that your direct mail advertising is date sensitive. This means that you have to make your prospects to respond as soon as possible. Using promos with specific dates or discount coupons with expiry dates are some ways you can make them respond immediately.

Start the mail advertisement with just 500-1000 piece in order to give you a feel of the whole process. With this sample, you will know if there are things that need changes like your advertising copy or the list itself. If you are now happy with your response rate, go for bigger investment and more copies should be sent.

Direct mail advertising is an effective tool that you can use for advertising your products. You just have to learn how to maximize your returns and be smart enough in dealing with the problems that comes with it. By using the tips mentioned above, surely sooner of later you will get the results that you’ve been wanting.

Integrate Gmail with Thunderbird

by admin in email marketing tips

While upgrading my thunderbird email software tonight I came across a great addon to allow me to integrate my Thumderbird with my Gmail calendar that I thought I would share.

Firstly, I love thunderbird and but one of the main features I was missing was linking it up to a calendar. Having been using Outlook for the past few years I became spoilt with an Exchange email account and was looking for ways to make my schedule more streamline.

Firstly, you will need to do three things and I am assuming you already have a Gmail account up and running (if not go here >> ):

1) Install or upgrade to Thunderbirds lastest version here >>

2) Download the Lightening calendar addon here >>

3) Download the Provider for Google Calendar addon here >>

Step One

Open up thunderbird and go to Tools – Addons – Install when prompted navigate to the lightening and then the google files (ending in the xpi extension). Restart Thunderbird.

Step Two

Go to your Gmail account, sign in and click on the calendar option. Click on the calendar settings and go to the very bottom of the options and click on the XML link. Now copy and past the link you are shown.

Step Three

Go back to Thunderbird and go to File – New – Calendar and select ‘On the network’.

Select Google Calendar and paste in the link from before.

Give the calendar a name and hit next.

Enter your username and password (tick the remember option to save adding it in each time) and there you go, your Gmail calendar is now up and running with Thunderbird, as easy as that!

Direct Mailing: What do You Need to Know?

by admin in email marketing tips

It’s not the length of time that measures how much we know about something that we do or have. Years of familiarity doesn’t mean we’ll know all the details about something. There are still a lot to know and discover if we’ll keep on learning.

When we talk about direct mailing, it has already existed for such a long time because of the benefits and advantages that it offers. Up until today, there are still a lot of business owners who use direct mailing and are still enjoying the positive effects it has brought to their businesses. If this marketing strategy works with the others, why wouldn’t it work for you?

Is direct mailing really effective? What is it all about?

We can define direct mailing as sending mails to all prospective clients that are in your customer database which you’ve gathered earlier. This simply means that whatever products or services that you are offering are directly advertised to the people who are most likely interested to do business with you and you have interest to gain sales from.

There are a lot of forms of marketing media that you can use to boost your business and all of them are claiming that they are the best and they can provide you the best result that you’ve been dreaming about. But in order for an advertising medium to really work for you, you need to give your target audience something that they are interested to look at. Something tangible that they wouldn’t dare throw in the trash. Like a direct mail, you can hold it, read it, and respond to it immediately.

Most merchants prefer to send postcards in a direct mail campaign. Well, practically speaking, it’s cheaper. It’s cheaper to design and print. Postage payment is also cheaper with postcards than sending a regular mail. So, you can send hundreds of them to your target audience without breaking your budget.

Another thing, postcards if properly designed, has this ability to capture people’s attention. Try to put some very vibrant and colorful images on the postcard to catch your target audience’ attention and really read your post. If the postcard is not that interesting, usually people just give it a glance. The big challenge now is how you can entice your readers to make that single glance into a much longer stare!

In what situations would you use direct mailing? Well, in any kind of business you’re having, direct mailing is beneficial. This is because you can easily target specific group of people, not like the other forms of advertising. If you are a small or medium-sized business, it’s also best for you since its way cheaper than advertising on TV, radio, or in prints. So, you can run a direct mail campaign for a long time without really making a big hole in your pocket.

Direct Mail Marketing has a reason why it has existed up until now. Businesses, big or small, have used it to their advantage. I guess it’s about time that you’ll also try it and have a first hand experience of all its benefits.

Social media marketing techniques

by admin in email marketing tips

All of we know that the power of the Search Engine Optimization and how it raising the sites rankings and providing the traffic to our sites and how it generating business. But nowadays one more technology is introduced in this web technology that is Social Media marketing and that is possible through Social Media Optimization (SMO). The concept of SMO is very simple that is if you changed your site for optimization, then it is more visible to social media search engines and custom search engines, more easily linked to blog posts.

Here are five simple rules which will help you in success of Social Media Optimization
Increase the linkability of your site: Increasing linkability is the first and for most important priority in SMO. Many people are maintaining simple and static site that means those websites are updated very rarely and these websites are used for simple storefront. If you want to optimize your social media website, then you need to increase the content with linkability. If you add a blog to your website is a great step, but you can find other ways also such as thought pieces, aggregating content, which is place somewhere and creating white papers in useful format.

Make bookmarking and tagging easy: Adding a button with a feature of “add to del.icio.us” will make easy the process of tagging, but if we look at behind of this, you should include the list of relevant tags, link suggestion notes and connecting social bookmarking sites.

Reward inbound links: you can take any website or blog, which is successful in social media network with the help of inbound links. These links will increase the overall page rankings and search results. If you want to increase these inbound links, then we need to provide rewards for them.

These sites pass your content further and drive traffic to your site.

Encourage the mashup: If someone wants to use your content, then let them use with particular reason. For instance, YouTube is providing a code of their videos to cut and paste into your website code which embeds their videos into your site has fueled their growth. In similar way we can use RSS to mashup over content with others website which increase our site rank.

Internet Marketing Advertising – Snail Mail Versus E-mail

by admin in email marketing tips

It was not too long ago that most people had no internet leave alone e-mail address. But internet brought in a new era that is full of unlimited information. Internet gave birth to electronic mail popularly known as e-mail. E-mail opened new avenues to the world of communication. In the beginning e-mail was only used as another means of communicating with other people for personal or business related matters. Now people of every age group have an e-mail address. But, since past few years its potential for marketing has been exploited to its maximum both in good and as well as bad manner. At the same time who can disregard the services of direct mail which has been operating since nearly two centuries? It is still the preferred method of communication for many people.

E-mail is the cheapest method of communicating available as of this date. The advantage with email is that you can send email to many people at the same time just with the click of a mouse where as in the case of direct mails one has to go through putting letters in envelopes for each and every person, make different address labels, mail it and also have to bear the cost of mailing. Time is money and e-mail marketing saves a lot of time.

While e-mail marketing might look easy but if you compare the net result the story is totally different. When you are marketing through e-mail you go to make sure that you are e-mailing the right person otherwise the e-mail would end up going to junk folder. Also you got to be careful that you don’t miss the subject or the body of the e-mail otherwise the net result would be same. In this age of spamming, spammers use variety of subjects, so you have to put the subject keeping in mind that it wouldn’t send your e-mail to the spam folder again. In contract the direct mail gets a better treatment. Studies show that direct mail is more efficient and has better success than e-mail. First, it is not as easy to block direct mail as junk e-mail and secondly the process of blocking mails itself is not automated like e-mail. The other reason why people hate e-mail marketing is due to constant bombarding of e-mails from spammers and illegal marketers from Nigerian money scams to porn to online prescription drugs to stock quotes to what not. In addition to that, you also get promotional offers from big companies and who can ignore phishing these days. Due to all these people have developed a negative perception about e-mail marketing and they simply delete or spam the e-mail if they do not identify it as their regular e-mail. In contrast direct mail is seen with respect and people pick their mail as a daily routine and open them with a priority.

Direct mail has a personal feel attached to it, one of the reasons why people prefer mail greetings over an electronic greeting. It takes time to personalize a direct mail where as an e-mail is instant and the fate of e-mail is also instant i.e. immediate deletion. Researchers are constantly puzzled by the mystery surrounding why people are so enthusiastic about direct mail. But no worries this only good news for the marketers that they have something in their tool kit that works. So marketers have the mailing list of potential customers handy and send some nicely composed letters to them about your company and its products.

Snail mail has a potential of going through the hands of gatekeepers and administrative assistants before actually going to their boss which can end up being thrown in trash. The survival chances are rare unless its subject is business oriented and has some important information. But e-mail wins in this regard, as it reaches directly the person to which it is intended to go, after that its fate is left to the person whether to read or send it to spam folder.

A more scientific explanation of why direct mail is dearer to people than e-mail is the sensory perception of people. A direct mail uses three of the four senses of a person i.e. visual, verbal, listening and touching where as e-mail does not use sense of listening and touching. But this can be achieved by adding appealing graphics, text reading ability and streaming audio to the e-mail.

The statistics show that direct mail has not died and in fact the volume has grown by leaps and bounds in past few decades. A typical example is the fact that we receive more magazines, journals, mails from universities, DVDs etc. than we used to receive few years ago. This leaves the marketers with a dilemma about which method to use. The answer is simple, use email to contact only those people who you know and use direct mail for the people who don’t know you.

Yahoo Mail and Hotmail, Features Compared

by admin in email marketing tips

Why Webmail:

I have had a Hotmail account for 8 years now and a Yahoo account for 4 years. I originally used the old Outlook Express but have not used that or any other Hard Drive based system for many years. The prime advantages are no hassle transferring old email to a new Computer, no synchronising between Computers is needed and easy access from anywhere in the world. Further there is near unlimited storage and inbuilt security scanning. My Yahoo account is used for all personal mail and Hotmail for everything else such as online shopping. Yahoo and Hotmail are the Market leaders with Gmail a distant third but catching up. I have a Gmail account but have made little use of it so far so have not included it in this comparison.

Features in Webmail are changing all the time. The details in this Article are current as at January 2010 but could well change in the future.

Signing up and free features:

Both systems have quite easy and straightforward signup systems. Both have been around for a while so most names are taken so you may have to add an initial or number. Yahoo and Hotmail both have free email accounts. Both have extra features with their Plus versions which each cost just under $20 per annum.

Yahoo has unlimited storage on free accounts. Hotmail has 5GB. You can download emails to your computer using POP access on Hotmail free. With Yahoo you need the paid for Plus account. Hotmail free accounts expire after 120 days of no activity. Yahoo expires after 4 months of no activity. The Plus accounts of both systems have no expiration limits. No ads in Hotmail free except in outgoing email. Yahoo free has ads on the interface. This can be closed on the New Mail interface. No ads on either system for their Plus accounts.

Both email accounts have a good scanning system for viruses in email and attachments.

Interface and ease of use:

Yahoo wins hands down in this area. The system has a choice of Classic, better for slower connection speeds, and All New Mail. The more advanced interface is the best on the Web. Especially useful is the Tabs system. Want a new email and you get a new tab. Do a search of email and you get a new tab so you can switch between everything with ease. Hotmail by comparison is frustrating. If you are in the middle of composing a new email and want to check something in an earlier email the only way is to save it as a draft and come back to it later. Yahoo is much simpler and quicker.

Searching for old emails and using attachments is much better in Yahoo. Search by keyword or sender or both and from the results get a list of refinement options such as sender, year and even a breakdown to months. For attachments received you can download view and then save. Searching with Hotmail produces great long lists of emails with no refinement options. Attachments received have to be saved somewhere first before opening often ending up in the wrong folder before being viewed.

An exceptionally useful feature of the Yahoo Plus paid for option is the ability to quickly create disposable email addresses from the one account. These can be used when signing up to something on the web, used for immediate necessary emails and then deleted.

Great Ways to Use Autoresponders

by admin in email marketing tips

Using Auto Responders as a Product Review: Auto responders are a great tool for increasing website traffic and sales. Once set up, auto responders can save you many hours of work. There are several popular uses for this program, including an opt-in e-mail list, a mandatory action visitors must complete in order to visit your website, or to promote better customer service.

Auto Responders as an Opt-in E-mail List

When used in this fashion, potential customers choose to sign up for your e-mail list. This tool is very effective because your e-mail is getting sent out to people who have already shown an interest in your product or service, and have already chosen to visit your website. Many websites offer the customer an incentive to give their e-mail out. The most common incentive is a newsletter that will let the customer know of upcoming events and special offers. This newsletter would be sent using auto responders.

Auto Responders as a Viewing Requirement

Another popular way of using auto responders is to require that visitors to your website sign up, using their e-mail address, in order to access the rest of the website. Many customers may be hesitant to give you their e-mail address upfront, so they may lose interest. Customers with a genuine interest in your product or service, however, will likely take little issue with signing up.

Auto Responders as a Customer Service tool

Many websites have found that auto responders can be used to enhance customer service and provide a more involved customer service department. Many websites use simple auto responder e-mails to let customers know that their complaint, suggestion or question has been received. Additionally, auto responders can be used to let customers know their order has been successfully placed or to let customers know about updates on their order. Most larger online businesses do not have the time to personally speak with each customer who may have a problem or question, so such auto responders let the customer know they are being acknowledged.

Characteristics of an Effect Auto Responder

Whichever way you choose to utilize auto responders, make sure to view a report of your website statistics. It is important to note how often people visit your page and to try to determine why or why not they filled out the form. If you are using auto responders as a viewing requirement for your webpage, it is recommended that you keep the signup as short as possible.

Auto responders are an effective way to build traffic to your site and to promote sales, and they are an important part of any online marketing plan. Research shows that most customers will not make a purchase the very first time they visit your website. Thus, it is important that you have a way to keep in touch with potential customers. Auto responders are a helpful reminder to potential customers of the product or service you offer, and will help fuel their interest in purchasing through your website.

No matter how they are used, most online businesses and entrepreneurs have found auto responders to be a helpful and effective tool for building their business.

2 Dozen Ways to Improve Your E-Mail Marketing Results

by admin in email marketing tips

I suppose I can title this article “25 Email Marketing Mistakes I’ve Made.”
But rather than focus on the negative, below I’ve outlined the best practices
I’ve come to adopt over the years. Hope you find something here useful.

  1. Diversify your Content: If your entire email focuses on one product,
service, or topic, you risk alienating all but the few people who will be
interested. Unless you have segmented your database based on previous behavior,
do not send an email on only 1 topic. I consistently find that the click through
rate increases in proportion with varied content.
  2. Don’t Stress about Spam Words: Many experts will tell you to avoid
words like “free” or “sale”. In my opinion, ISPs tend to be moving away from
content based spam filtering in favor of reputation based filtering. In other
words, your sending IP address and from email are more important than whether or
not your email contains certain words. Personally, I’ve used words like “free”
in the subject line without any affect on delivery rates.
  3. Make it Readable with Images Disabled: Always take into account the
appearance of your email with images disabled. For email clients such as
Outlook, this is now the default feature. Even popular web mails like Hotmail
now disable images unless the sender is in the address book of the recipient.
The best tactic to create readable emails with images block is use an alt
    description.
  4. Create an Online Version: Always provide an online version of your
email for users having trouble viewing images. I’ve calculated from emails I’ve
sent in the past that around 5% of users will use this feature.
  5. Remove Inactive Subscribers: Inactive subscribers are the most likely
to get you in trouble by clicking the SPAM button. Consider automatically
removing a subscriber that hasn’t opened an email in several months.
  6. Proofreading: Always have every email proofread by at least 2 detail
oriented people. There’s nothing more embarrassing than a typo in an email
    blast.
  7. Monitor Replies: When you send out thousands of emails, you’re bound
to get a few replies. Occasionally, you’ll get some good feedback from your
subscribers. In addition, some people reply with unsubscribe requests.
  8. Unsubscribe at Top: I know what you’re thinking, “At the TOP!?” Yes,
at the top. Lazy unsubscribers have a tendency to click the SPAM button instead
scrolling down to find the unsubscribe link. By placing the link at the top, you
might increase your unsubscribe rate, but that’s better than an inflated SPAM
    complaint count.
  9. Don’t Over or Under Mail: If you send too much, you’ll get deleted or
marked as SPAM. Oddly enough, if you send once every 3 months you may have the
same problem. Keep your brand top of mind for your customers by finding the
perfect balance between over and under mailing.
  10. Forward to Friend Feature: Many users automatically do this, but it
doesn’t hurt to ask. First time potential customers can be very open to company
when it is introduced by a friend or colleague.
  11. Subscribe Feature for Forwards: Make it easy for potential new
subscribers to subscribe if they receive your email as a forward. Include
somewhere in the body a subscribe link.
  12. White List Reminder: If you want your subscribers to add you to their
white list or address book, you need to ask. Sure, not everyone will add you.
However, those who do are likely the people who care most about receiving your
emails and, therefore, you have the most to lose if your emails get flagged as
    spam.
  13. Single Click Unsubscribe: I generally recommend keeping the
unsubscribe as simple as possible. However, you may want to confirm the action
if you place your unsubscribe at the top of every email in case users click the
    link on accident.
  14. Privacy Policy: Always place your privacy policy at the bottom of
every email. Assure customers that you obtained their email address in a
legitimate fashion, and you will not sell their personal info.
  15. Don’t Rent Lists: Some may disagree on this, but I’ve never seen
anything good come from a rented list. Don’t risk your sender reputation with
emails from questionable sources. If you want to reach a new audience, consider
a joint venture with another firm in a similar but non-competing industry.
  16. Develop your Brand: Remember that your emails will slowly build your
brand in the minds of your subscribers. Even if they never click-through and
make a purchase, be sure to keep a consistent and accurate corporate image with
    your email content.
  17. Call to Action: Each section must contain a specific call to action
that avoids vague phrases like “click here.” You’ll be surprised how an
effective call to action button or link can improve your click through rate.
  18. Mix Freebies with Products: Too much selling can burn people out.
Engage your subscribers with useful, free content. For example, if you sell home
theater equipment, send out an article on the explaining the benefits of newer
technologies. When you provide additional value to your customers with learning
resources, they are sometimes even willing to pay more for your merchandise. In
addition, strategies like this keep your brand top of mind.
  19. Find Your “Tuesday”: For the eCommerce sites I’ve worked with, Tuesday
morning has always resulted in the best open, click-through, and conversion
rates. However, every company is different.
  20. Same Day, Same Time: Be consistent in the time you send your emails
for two reasons. First, the ISPs see inconsistency as a possible SPAM flag.
Spammers can care less when they send out mass emails. Second, your customers
will begin to anticipate your emails at a certain time each week, possibly
increasing the likely hood of them opening and clicking through.
  21. Keep the Good Stuff above the Fold: Remember that many email clients
will obscure a large portion of your email unless the user scrolls down. Make
sure the top 400 pixels are as engaging as possible. I can’t tell you how many
times I’ve had to send artwork back to the design department because the top of
the email failed to grab your attention.
  22. A/B Test 1 Variable at a Time: It took me far too long to learn this.
For years, I would change several factors in each successive email blast, but
never could find that perfect mix. If you really want to find out what works,
you can only change 1 variable. For example, should the subject line be short or
long? Keep the same content and split your list in 2, sending half a longer
subject and the other half a shorter one. Do not change any other variables!
  23. 600 Pixel Width: Due to the limitations of many email clients, stick
with a width somewhere between 500 to 600 pixels wide.
  24. Experiment with Subject Lines: I wish there was a magic principle I
can share with you about subject lines. Unfortunately, there isn’t. The best we
can do is test, test, and test again. Sometimes short subjects are better,
sometimes long, sometimes intriguing, sometimes urgent, whatever works best for
you. Here’s a great article on email subject lines.
  25. Begin Segmentation & Personalization Now: In a few years, email
marketers that don’t practice segmentation and personalization will be left in
the dust. There are an endless number of ways to segment your email list. Some
popular ways are by purchase behavior, geography, or ordering frequency.

As a long term strategy, I would also greatly encourage researching
transactional and trigger based email marketing, as they tend to product much
better open, click-through, and conversion rates. To learn more about eCommerce

by admin in email marketing tips

It is very essential to keep a track of prospective customers who have the potential to be turned into actual customers. There are e-mail solutions that can be used to identify people who visit your website and read your promotional mails. These softwares can perform many other functions that can also be helpful in locating the potential customers.

Introduction

A qualified lead is a prospective customer who has chances of being converted into a real customer. He/she shows the intention and the capacity to buy the product or service of a particular company. E- Mail marketing in relation to qualified leads includes services like identifying, scoring, and converting these qualified leads into real customers. There are e-mail softwares that are intelligent enough to regenerate old leads and even create new qualified leads.

Acquisition of leads

E-mail marketing service providers can considerably increase the number of qualified leads acquired by your sales people. It is highly recommended to spend today on these services in order to reap its long term benefits in coming future. Increase in customers also helps you to increase the reputation of your business.

Lead scoring

Lead scoring can be done in various ways. For instance, an e-mail campaign can be created and then data can be collected as to who all read your mails and for how long. Another way is to see who all visit your website, how many times they visit it, and for how long do they stick to your website. Information such as what page of your website did they read can also be found out. All this information and data is then used to rank your potential customers and follow up with those who have high chances of being converted to actual customers.

This list can be used to drive traffic to your website or your affiliate’s website where you can sell products or services to them. This can earn you a very substantial income if done properly.

I hope that now you see the importance and value of building a subscribers list. There are however, some very important things you should know about your list of subscriber. You must always give them very valuable information.

For example if you have a website on ‘How to Train you Rottweiler’ you must be sure you are giving them information on training their Rottweiler and not just sending them to your affiliate sites to purchase things so you can get a commission. The people on your email list are not stupid, they will quickly realized that the emails you send them have very little or no valuable information and you’re only trying to make money off of them. These emails will just be deleted and never opened.

People get tons of emails everyday so you must always give your list tons of information so they will enjoy opening your emails every time they see them in their mailbox. They will come to trust you for very valuable information on the subject and will trust the products and services you recommend to them.

Here is a 5 Step List Building System

1. Offer them something of value

People don’t want to just give you their email list and with all the spam that goes on, they have a very good reason not too. Most people go online to communicate, learn, or find out about information on a subject and this is what you have to address. You must offer them high quality very valuable information, which will give them a reason to opt in to your email list. You can offer them a short eBook, or an online course, which can both be a series of very informative articles you’ve written.

2. Place your opt in box so they can see it

Don’t hide your opt in box somewhere on the bottom of your website. Make it easy for your website visitors to find it. It’s what’s ‘above the fold’, which is what you see when you first come onto a website without scrolling down, that’s the most important part of the website. Most people don’t like to scroll unless there is something of value ‘above the fold’ that entices them to do so. The most ideal place for an opt in newsletter is the top left side of a website. You can also have a pop-up just as they are about to leave your website asking if they would like to receive your newsletter or valuable ezine.

3. Assure them that their information is private

It’s very important that you assure them that their information will only be used for what they are signing up for. Remember if this is the first time they are visiting your website, they don’t know you therefore they don’t trust you and they will be very hesitant to just give their information to a complete stranger. Place a small privacy notice next to your email sign up box stating, “Your privacy is important to us. We will never sell or disclose the information that you provide us with.”

4. Don’t ask for too much information

People don’t like giving out personal information, especially if they don’t know you. Your opt in box should only ask for their email address and that’s all. People are very hesitant to give out more information about themselves when you don’t have their trust yet.

5. Offer them different choices

Everyone will not want the same type of information so offer them different reasons to sign up. You can offer a free informative eBook or a special article or even a very important must have product list which you can use to promote your affiliates. Give your potential subscribers choices by creating a sign up box with a check list so they can subscribe to the information they wish to receive.

This type of marketing is called ‘market segmentation’ meaning you’re meeting the needs of many different sectors of your market, which is a good, sound sales practice that will cause your email list to grow. People like being given a choice, and will remember you positively for it.
